One-on-One Wheel Throwing Classes

Discover the art of wheel throwing in a personalized, one-on-one setting. These sessions focus on building a solid foundation, starting with properly centering clay — not just with your hands, but through your entire body. You’ll learn to anchor yourself, using posture and breath to connect with the clay and find true balance at the wheel.

From there, we’ll develop the proper series of gestures tailored to your hands and strength, guiding you through opening the clay and pulling different forms. The goal is to help you build confidence and control, step by step.

Lessons begin in my studio, and if you have your own studio, I can support you in your own space, helping set up your studio for maximum ease and efficiency.

Whether you’re just starting your pottery journey, struggling to master centering, or eager to learn the technique of throwing off the hump, these personalized sessions are designed to meet you where you are.

Cost is $60/h, Serving Portland, OR.
